The 14th Discussions on Archaeological Building Research focus on the dynamic aspects of ancient architecture, including mechanical elements such as doors, gates, windows, shutters, folding partitions, as well as textiles, technical installations related to infrastructure and military technology, temporary or ephemeral structures and constructions, and issues of construction logistics during the erection, remodeling, dismantling, or relocation of entire buildings or building components. The conference aims to provide an overview of dynamic phenomena in ancient construction and to stimulate a discussion on methodological approaches to dealing with the related archaeological evidence.
